Kurt Whaley brings to Laguna Pacific more than 30 years of experience in development and construction management for residential, retail, healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects. He also has international experience earned through projects in Japan, Southeast Asia, and Mexico. Kurt is primarily responsible for vertical construction, and due to his extensive experience, brings a wealth of unparalleled knowledge to his role as President of Laguna Pacific.

Prior to joining Laguna Pacific, Kurt held presiding and other executive roles with multiple development/general contracting firms. His notable past projects include: a 40-acre, $360 million university campus; a popular Southern California theme park expansion valued at $52 million; a 50 story $130 million high rise office building; a world renown museum in Los Angeles valued at $800 million, completion of design/build projects in excess of $150 million; construction management services for a $1 billion portfolio of over 200 multiplex theaters spanning 36 states; and executive management of division offices with an annual volume of over $300 million.

Kurt earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Construction Management from Colorado State University, has served on the Board of Directors for the Associate General Contractors of Southern California and is a member of AGC, ASPE, BIA and HBACA of Phoenix.
